inventory count to just update a list of files that I scan

    I am just wondering, I am just doing a stock take of one particular range of items, what would be the best way to use the inventory count to just update a list of files that I scan? instead of updating everything.

    I have looked at the inventory count, but am a bit confused as to which is the best option.

    Use selective snapshot, if you want to set quantities to zero for the items are in the selection but not in the list of files.

    Use spot snapshot,  if you want to leave quantities unchanged for the items are not in the list of files.

    I believe you should use spot snapshot.
